10 Celebrities Who Practice Attachment Parenting (PHOTOS)

salma hayekIt's kind of ... odd, but fact is, if you're a celebrity mom, chances are the public knows about your parenting style. Some moms are extremely vocal about how they choose to parent their kids (Mayim Bialik, Alanis Morissette), while others you can just tell what parenting philosophies they subscribe to (Beyonce, Maggie Gyllenhaal). Here are 10 celebrity moms who are raising their kids the attachment parenting way. Some may not surprise you, but others will downright shock you.

Ok I think this is great and all. I'm a fan of attachment parenting myself. We co-sleep, I've breasfed all 4 of my kids, etc. But one picture here annoys me. Pam Anderson is all about natural attachment parenting, and that's great. But dad is walking with the kids with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. All the attachment parenting in the world won't negate the affects of second hand smoke. Disgusting. In this day and age, smoking around kids? Yeah that just shows your level of intelligence and class (or lack there of).

Since when is breastfeeding your child and not using a stroller, attachment parenting? I think it's a little more involved than that.... right??? I breastfed my boys and I used a baby carrier to "wear" my babies (though I hate the term "wearing a baby") but I would hardly call myself an attachment parent.......

I agree with asouza77, I don't think breastfeeding should not be pertained to attachment parenting. Formula moms should be able to participate too.

This is a ridiculous article/slide show.  While I think its great to bf, co sleep, baby wear etc...I dont think it makes you an "attachment parent"  Those parents do ALL of those things and then some.  I joined Cafe Mom for what I thought would be interesting, well written blogs/articles.  I have thus far been disappointed beyond measure.

But what if your baby likes a stroller?

This list is kinda dumb. Simply breast feeding doesn't make you AP. Neither does carrying your baby. Why don't you do a bit more research. There are legitimate AP celebs out there like Mayim Bialik who actually wrote a book and writes a blog about it.

So...Claire Danes was afraid of leaking breastmilk...and that makes her an AP? Co-sleeping means you're AP?

Stupid, stupid article.

Um, aren't these people just "being parents"?

I didn't even know Pam Anderson had kids. But that cosleeping thing is a little much, i have a hard enough time sharing a bed with my husband.

We co-sleep, I still breastfeed my son at 28 mos. old and I wore him in a baby papoose-I had no idead whatsoever that what I was doing (which was best for my son and our family) was called "attachment parenting".  what to go to these celebrity parents!
