nursingBreastfeeding is no walk in the park -- especially in the beginning. You leak milk; your boobs feel like rocks; and worst of all, your nipples are sore.

Nothing can quite prepare you for the uncomfortable feeling of sore (or, ugh, cracked) nipples. It's one of, if not the, hardest parts about nursing. Dear god, can it kill. But there are things that help -- things that can help that are natural for your precious little baby.

Here are 5 natural remedies for nipples that are sore from breastfeeding.

Coconut Oil

This was the first thing my doula suggested to me -- coconut oil. I can't say that it completely eliminated any and all pain, as, well, nothing really does, but it certainly helped.

Tea bags! I used mothers milk tea bags. Let them sit in the warm water just enough to get wet and warm up; place them right on the nipples! It is amazing!!!! And I would reuse the same tea bags a couple times as they are expensive. They start feeling better pretty quickly!
