I'm not sure if this is a thing or not, but now that I have one of my own, I think all babies are so much cuter. It's like I have a new appreciation for them. Perhaps it's because I miss my daughter, but on the days I work out of the office, I basically cause car pile-ups in the middle of Manhattan with my stopping in the middle of the road, trying to get a glimpse of some cutie in a stroller. So when I saw these twin 9-month-olds swimming the full length of a pool by themselves -- without swimmies or anything (they even go under water!) -- I basically died. Not only is this one of the most impressive things I've ever seen a 9-month-old do in my life, it's hands down one of the cutest. Check out babies Ellie and William Trykush hanging out in a pool like a couple of teenagers. Surely, they're Olympians in the making.
Have you ever seen anything like this? These babies can't even walk, crawl, or sit up yet, and they're swimming around like a couple of fish. It really is unbelievable.
Of course, after the video, there are plenty of commenters talking about how babies shouldn't be in pools; chlorine is Satan; and how all infants can kind of swim. To which I say: These kids look fine to me, and how many babies can do laps and go under water?
This is an incredible video -- at least, to me it is. And I'm be damn proud if these were my babies!
When did you put your baby in the pool?

They honestly can start swimming at 6 months. There are plenty of guides about it.
I think we had our son in the pool around 4-5 months. At 7 , he now swims like a fish and almost better than my husband and I.
So, where do I sign up my kid? She'll have to wait a few weeks since she's barely going on to 3 weeks.
I'd rather my daughter learn how to swim at this age than have some accident.
That is rather amazing!! I did mommy and me classes with my now 5 year old when he was 6 and 18 months. he does love the water!!
the ending was soo cute =) there such cutie!
The sooner you introduce your child to the water, the more comfortable they will be with it. There are classes out there that teach babies to float, and to turn themselves over onto their backs if they are face down in the water. The more relaxed you are in the water with your child, the more relaxed they will be.
my son is five mo old, i want him to swin like that
I'm pretty sure at 9 months they can sit up and crawl.
