Whenever I think about another baby, one thing stops me: Night feedings. It's bad enough that my second child didn't sleep through the night until he was four; the idea of voluntarily signing on for the mind-numbing exhaustion that comes from being awakened every two hours or so by a hungry newborn is why I am thrilled with the two I have and not planning on another!
If you opted not to breastfeed, that means dad can help you out in the night with a bottle feeding. But can a dad get a bottle measured and mixed in under a minute?
The best part of this whole thing is the goggles she made him wear to simulate being so tired you can't see straight! To his credit, he did pretty well, he just wasn't fast. And I have to say I think most parents would have bottles ready to go in the fridge ...
Could you feed a screaming baby in under a minute?

Yup! And I can do it left handed too!
Oh yea. We had bottles with water already measured in them sitting next to a formula dispenser with a funnel-like opening and the appropriate amount of powder for each bottle. Flip the top open, dump in the powder, screw on the lid, shake, pop in mouth. Easy-peasy and quick.
I'm pretty sure I did it in my sleep in less than 45 seconds. Men are not total incompetents and having a uterus and ovaries do not gift women with superpowers. Why not admit all parents are competent at handling children and let it go at that?
Prep milk beforehand. And yes, my husband could make a bottle from scratch in about 30 seconds.
All I am going tosay is that Daddy isMUCH Better at midnight feedings. He's a night owl, so it makes sense. I'm a morning person, so I get the baby from about 3am onwards :)
