Congratulations, Reese Witherspoon! The 36-year-old actress welcomed baby #3 earlier today (her first child with husband Jim Toth), and ... it's a boy! Woo-hoo! If big siblings Ava, 12, and Deacon, 8 (dad is actor Ryan Phillippe), are any indication, the new addition is going to be one heck of a handsome kid. With a name to match!
That's right, Witherspoon and Toth actually managed to accomplish what so many other celebs seem incapable of doing -- they picked an awesome baby name! Timeless, charming, unique ... color me impressed!

Don't you just love it?! I mean, I kind of figured Witherspoon would name her new baby something cool based on her track record in this area -- Ava and Deacon are pretty much flawless choices. But Tennessee James exceeds even my high expectations. It's got character and depth and meaning, giving a graceful nod to both Witherspoon's Southern roots and her career in the dramatic arts (Tennessee Williams, anyone?).
Plus, I just can't wait to hear Witherspoon talking about Tennessee with that perky little accent! How cute is that gonna be?!

It isn't something that I would name a child, but it certainly isn't the worst baby name ever! Congratulations to Reese and her husband.
That is a TERRIBLE name!!
How is that any different that naming your kid Savannah, Dakota, Montana, Arizona, etc? And how is Apple any different than Lily, Rose, Ruby, Opal, Jasmine, etc? Can we not be unique when naming our kids, or must they be in school with 30 other kids with the same name? My son is named Korvyn Brux, and I am sure other moms think I am weird, but I had 5 other Emily's in my class, and I wanted my child to be unique.
I love it and I love her. If you think it's a terrible name, maybe your names are terrible. What a crappy thing to say about a new mom and baby. Good luck to them and that new little bundle of joy.
