It's official, guys. Gwyneth Paltrow isn't having any more kids. 'Cause she's over it. Her daughter Apple is 8, and her son Moses 6. She's got two "big kids" now who, most-likely, sleep through the night, and don't poop in diapers, and tell her why they're upset. She's past the newborn and baby stage and she likes it, because doggone it, babies are hard work.
But. If GP did happen to have another baby, there's no question that she'd fall into the swing of things without skipping a beat. Everyone would. 'Cause that's how we roll.
We're resilient folk, us humans. And even when something seems hard or annoying or like way too much work, when it comes down to it, we're always fine. And the same thing applies to having kids. I mean, how many "accidents" are born each year?
Right now, my daughter isn't even 4-months-old, but honestly? Even I think about when she was first born and am like, "Damn, that wasn't easy." I'm enjoying her much more now than when she was teeny-tiny, itty-bitty. She smiles and rolls and -- knock wood -- sleeps through the night. It's fantastic. And, don't get me wrong, I'd love to have another child -- hopefully I will! -- but when my husband and I talk about it, it's always with the undertone of: Wouldn't it be nice to give birth to a 6-week-old?
Unless there are some major advances in science in the near future, I don't see that happening. I (hopefully) will give birth to a newborn, and it will be hard. But we'll get through it. And it'll totally be worth it.
But, Gwyneth, I still hear you.
Did you think you couldn't handle another baby -- but then had one and fell back into the swing of things?
