50 Reasons to Have a Baby
by Jill Smokler on August 13, 2012 at 10:30 AM

Last week, I wrote a post on 50 reasons not to have a baby. Truth be told, I wrote it for myself just as much as anyone else because I suffer constant baby fever and it's always nice to be reminded of the hard stuff. To even things out, (and prove that I do actually enjoy parts of this gig), I thought it would be nice to list 50 reasons for having a baby. Well, 50 reasons for you to have a baby. I'm done.

I'm still on board with the other list, but I did have a dream last night that we were trying for a fourth. I think I need to stop reading this stuff!!

An epidural should not be on the list, especially with all the health risks associated. Not only to the mama, but also baby. Everyone, know your facts and do your research. Just sayin.

When they go from the teenage pain in the butts, to asking you to spend time with you and cuddling up with you! Teenagers aren't always difficult, they can be the most wonderful friends you can have if they respect you.

So why is an epidural a reason TO have a baby? First, you wouldn't even WANT one if not for painful labor, but they are dangerous to both mom & baby. Not only that, I had that and a spinal (emergnecy c-section) and could feel where they put the needle for MONTHS after labor, and it was kind of painful.
