So I was a stay-home mom for a couple years. (True story!) And I remember men asking me that question they always ask when they want someone to kick them in the balls: "What do you do all day?"
So glad you asked. CafeMom Studios has produced a new show called Mom Vs. Man just to answer that question! And in this week's episode we get to watch a man try to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich while holding a baby and listening to an 8-year-old whine about missing the bus. It's super easy! Anyone can do it. Just watch.
Bwa ha ha, epic fail Luigi. No star bit for you! (Heh, Super Mario Galaxy joke, anyone?) Quick raise of hands, who pretty much knew it would go down like this? And didn't you love all his imaginary helpers who held the baby and opened jars for him? I want one of those. Brilliant move with the bag of potatoes -- no joke, that is pretty damn close to a heavy, unpredictably wiggly baby.
I remember the time I figured out how to apply mascara while nursing my newborn while getting ready (alone) for an event. You pick these things up quickly. Anyhoo ...
I hope this bumbling act has more to do with Luigi being a single, childless guy that just being a guy. Can't most dads pull off the baby-PBJ-bus act just fine? I know I'm not the one making school lunches in my household -- and you don't have to be a SAHM to find yourself trying to pull this task. I don't know if Luigi is planning on reproducing any time soon, but if he is, it sounds like he's got some practicing to do. Now pick up that sack of potatoes and that butter knife and make another sandwich!
Could you hold a baby and make a PBJ sandwich?

He tried, but failed, he cheated, he had his friend open the jars for him. Lol, great challenge, i should have my husband do it
LOL yes Lugi you kinda suck at making a sandwich holding a baby. It was fun to watch though.
Gosh I could. It isn't easy. But, when you have a screaming baby and a child who wants food it's possible. My babies hated being put down. As bad as it sounds I would use the baby carrier while cooking dinner. I would stand sideways so baby was away from stove. But, she would just cry and cry if I didn't hold her.
Ok this would be better if it was not rigged for the men to fail! First a watermellon then a 10 pound bag of tatters. I would like to see her do it. Bet she could not. Why not let them use the doll ow wait then she might have to buy them the drinks. While its not easy both my husband and I have had to make lunch while holding a baby. There are a lot of dads that can do more than the Moms, it just depends on who has more practice.
You can put babies down sometimes.
Yes, I can do that after having 1 child you learn to have many hands
My wife doesn't cook much, she has a few dishes she makes well, but I am the primary cook in the household. I was also the primary caretaker of our three grown children, they all survived. Generally, I did not try to make sandwiches while holding a child, while it can be done, it seems an unnecessary risk to me.
HAHAHA! Poor guy.. he would get it after a while. Then he could move on to bigger and better things... like making dinner while holding a infant and corralling a screaming toddler.
