Seems like Arizona pot-smoking mom Catalina Clouser, 19, is going through something a thousand times worse than the usual weekend hangover. She was arrested after leaving her 5-week-old -- who was strapped safely in a car seat -- on the roof of her car and driving away. It wasn't until she returned home that she realized her baby was missing.
When Clouser had driven away with the car seat on the roof, the baby fell off the car in the middle of an intersection. Insane! Thank goodness, the little one was found unharmed and strapped into the seat, said Phoenix police spokesman James Holmes.
Although it sort of boggles the mind how, apparently the baby really was "perfectly OK" when the Phoenix Fire Department officials found him. He was taken to a local hospital and is now in the custody of Arizona Child Protective Services.
Sounds like a series of events completely reflecting Clouser's complete lack of good parental judgment, immaturity, and selfishness lead up to this point. She had apparently been smoking marijuana late Friday night at a nearby park with her boyfriend. At about 11 p.m., they left the park to buy beer, and the boyfriend was arrested on aggravated DUI charges while on the way, authorities said. Then Clouser, who was shaken up by the arrest, went to a friend's house, where she "admittedly smoked one or two additional bowls of marijuana." And yeah ... the baby was along for what turned into an incredibly scary ride. There's just no real way to excuse this terrible turn of events. It's downright disgraceful and heart-wrenching.

At the very least, Clouser will surely be paying for her actions for a long time -- both emotionally and by facing charges of child abuse and DUI. Yet all of this could have been avoided, if only she would have put her child first over the course of that evening. Given how this nightmare played out, Clouser's actions prove she's not cut out to continue parenting.

what about the moms out there on pain meds, tranks, & sleep aids and also care for their kids??? they say dont operate heavy machinery because they are intoxicating.... but you can still be the soul provider for your kids??
From a mom who was a pretty big lunged pot smoker back in highschool I know that no, one hit may not effect your jugment but smokeing about 3 bowls all together + drinking will effect the quality of care you give your child.
No marajuana isn't nessisarily horrible for grown adults but as a parent you should know. Don't drink, smoke ciggarets, or weed around your kids.(or do any other kind of drug including prescription painkillers) And if you must get out and "party" or need to "relax/recuperate" get a damn babysitter. Regardless, no parent should be getting ripped on anything beer, whine, weed or anything that alters your mind. You got kids to worry about.(Doesn't mean you can't enjoy your self but don't get stupid waisted even if the kids are in the hands of a sitter or family.)
This chick didn't just have a calming hit off a joint away from her child while the child was in the care of a baby sitter. She risked her baby's health by doing it next to him then risked his life after getting fucked up on both weed and alchy.
She should lose custody. If it was a mistake and it causes her to change her ways then good she can get her shit together and fight for her self and get her kid back after she can honestly care for her child the right way.
In my opinion I think she is not ready to be a parent and should have to pay for what she did. That baby deserves to have a family that will kept it safe and truly loved.
yeah she dont need her kid. I got my kids taken from me all cause my ex beat the crap outta me and thats the only reason. But she put he kid and danger and thats her fault my situation wasnt mine
Either she was really high or she is just an idiot. I mean how do you forget your baby on the top of the car.Poor little baby is better off without her and the boyfriend.They sound like unfit parent.
She is so immature. Smoking really? Like getting high was her first priority then being a mother. Who leaves their kid of top of the car roof. I am glad her rights are going to be taken away. She don't deserve to be a mother if your first thought is to get high or drunk. She looks disgusting. People like her makes me sick. Maybe with all that smoking she has no brain cell. I really really can't stand unfit parents who make poor choices and the child always have to pay the price.
