Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck must be so over-the-moon today after the arrival of their third child -- a baby boy! And even though he's still a bit outnumbered as far as the number of females in the house go, Ben must be relieved to finally have a little testosterone thrown into the mix. He needs a little man to play catch with in the backyard, right?
Of course, now that baby Affleck is here, everyone is asking the same question this morning, "What exactly did Jennifer Garner name her baby?" The suspense is killing us!
Ben and Jen finally released their little guy's name to the press a few hours ago, and their selection actually pairs perfectly with the traditional names of the baby's big sisters. Violet is just so romantic and old-fashioned -- a completely timeless name. Seraphina is sophisticated, polished, and also very classy, which isn't a huge surprise considering that those terms pretty much describe Jen as well.
After going with two more formal names for their daughters, it isn't a huge shock that Ben and Jen went with something a little more cute and casual for their baby boy. And what's really fun is that the name they chose pays homage to Ben's hometown in a very subtle way. There are quite a few Massachusetts-themed names that would have been absolutely perfect for this kid -- but which of these do you think they went with?
Boston - Seriously -- how perfect would it be if they named their little man Boston? Boston Affleck has such a nice ring to it, don't you think? It's a distinguished sounding, strong name, but it's also unique and very celeb-worthy. It's definitely a sure bet.
Fenway - There's really no better way to give a shout-out to Ben's hometown than naming the baby after the legendary home of the Red Sox. He'd definitely be the only kid in Hollywood with that name for sure.
Quincy - If Jen and Ben decide they'd rather stick with an old-fashioned name, then Quincy is just so perfect. It's very classic, but also has the whole Boston thing going on, since Quincy Market is such a major landmark in the city.
Sam Adam - It's no secret that Ben likes to get his party on, so having a son named after a popular Boston beer wouldn't be a huge shock. Sam Adam Affleck. I dig it.
Charles - In all seriousness, if they decide to go with a Boston-themed name that has special meaning to both of them, then I think that Jen and Ben will choose Charles for their son. Boston sits right alongside the Charles River, and Jen actually grew up in Charleston, West Virginia. It's just perfect!
What name would you have chosen for Ben and Jen's new baby boy?

Quincy? Really? First thing I thought of was a grumpy coroner...
i think they will go with timeless. but those names were nice.
My vote: William Cambridge Affleck
Fenway? Seriously???? And Boston is just a stupid name (and I live there, so I can say that).
I am so excited to hear the name!
One of them was half right. People is reporting the name is Samuel Garner Affleck.
