Jennifer GarnerJoyful news tonight for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck -- their third child has arrived into the world. Reps confirmed the news to US Weekly, and to make matters even more exciting, it's a boy!

That's right, in addition to their two always-smiling little girls -- Violet, 6, and Serafina, 3 -- the family now has a son. It's exactly what everyone has been hoping for. Well, Ben and Jen said they were cool with either sex. She told Jay Leno in January that while she thought Ben wanted a boy initially, it almost seemed like he wanted a girl.

I would have thought [he wanted a boy]. At first...I really thought so. And then [Ben] kind of said, 'Well, we have girls. We know how to do girls. My girls love me. I'm the big guy in the house.' So, now I'm not sure.

But that's the kind of thing people say so that if it is another of the same sex then everyone doesn't think of it as a huge disappointment. I'm sure they would have loved the baby no matter what its sex, but you know the rest of us would have felt a little let down ... even if we shouldn't have.

Fortunately, there's not even a twinge of disappointment to be had here. I can only imagine how thrilled they are, and how adorable it is going to be to see Ben with a boy! No doubt Violet and Serafina will love and fawn all over him, and maybe even dress him up as a princess a time or two. It's all going to be so adorable.

Beyond that, however, they are one of Hollywood's most down-to-earth, "normal" couples, and it's so great to see them expand their family like this in such a perfect way. Now one big question remains: WHAT'S HIS NAME? Let's just hope they didn't let his sisters name him. Last we knew, their favorites were along the lines of Donald Duck Affleck.
