Baby Born on Her Parents' Birthday Is the Ultimate Gift

birthday cake One Indiana couple got the ultimate surprise earlier this week when their baby daughter was born on February 13th -- because that date also happens to be both of their birthdays!

It's already coincidental enough that they share a birthday, but to have their child also arrive on that particular date is just so against the odds. Can you imagine the laughter and joy in that delivery room? Seeing your baby's face for the first time is always special, but to receive that as a birthday gift is just absolutely priceless!

One thing's for sure -- this family will never have to worry about forgetting each other's birthdays in the future. Celebrations for them will be so much fun over the years -- and I can't help but wonder if they'll go all out and get three separate cakes. That would be pretty awesome. The more cake, the better, right?

These parents will also have such a great story to tell their little girl as she grows up, and she'll love hearing them talk about how their best birthday ever was the one where she became part of their family.

I know this because that's what my mom has always told me. I was born just one day shy of her birthday nearly 35-years ago, and to this day she says that there is no better gift she could have received. She didn't have the easiest labor and delivery on the planet, and I'd always sort of felt bad for being the one responsible for her spending her birthday in a hospital bed. I guess I kind of felt like I stole her thunder a bit or something to that effect.

Of course, she always insisted that there was no better birthday gift than having me, and that she'd go through my delivery on that same day all over again without any hesitation.

And now that I'm the mom of an incredible little boy who is my whole world, I totally understand what she was talking about. Children really are the most amazing gift that we will ever have. And if they happen to show up on our birthdays, well -- that's just one more reason to celebrate!

No, I'm happy that my dd has her own special day, but she was born on my parent's 32nd Anniversary.

That happened to another family last year, only they had a son. It was back in July, wasn't it?

My husband and I have the same birthday, and while I love sharing a birthday with him, I think having another one on that day would make it a leetle crowded. :-(

My grandmother's birthday present was my mother - in turn my grandmother just missed being her own mother's (my great-grandmother) birthday present by one day. :)

I was born on my grandfather's birthday. It was neat! The year I turned 21 he turned 80. His comment was "don't do anything I wouldn't do!". This coming from an old sailor with a naked lady on his arm and several other tattoos. Haha! My first son was born a couple weeks before mine and my third son is due a couple weeks before my husband's birthday. As you get older you don't celebrate like you used to. Now I wouldn't want my children to be born on the same day. My sister's kids are three days apart. That sucks cause they have their parties on the same weekend or out of town family can't come.

When I went into labor the day before my birthday, I thought, cool! Our birthdays will be back to back. A day later, I finally had my birthday baby. I always tell her she's the best birthday present I ever had.

My mother and her father share the same birthday so I think it's neat. Every child is a blessing but I think sharing a birthday with your child would be extra special.

no, as nice as this story is, i don't want to share a birthday. This is the only "holiday", I go out of my to celebrate. I make my day special. I know the baby's special day would take over mine.

My great uncle, grandpa and brother all shared the same birthday, unfortunately, they died in the order they were born. My friend shares a birthday with her daughter and my grandmother had my uncle one day after her birthday. I wouldn't care to share a birthday with my child. Hell, I'd be happy to have a baby.
