babyLong before I got pregnant, I knew what I wanted to name my daughter, were I ever to have one. And as luck would have it, I am! In less than four short months, the little girl my husband and I created will make her way into the world, and "the name" will be bestowed upon her. It's almost as if it were meant to be (I found boys' name impossible) -- you know, if you believe in that sort of thing.

Since coming up with "the name," I've been careful. Careful to never let it slip. And careful to make sure I always peruse the "Top Name" lists when they're released, out of fear that hers will be on there. Luckily, it wasn't on any of last year's. And even more luckily, it isn't on this year's.

Now, don't get me wrong, these are all lovely names (my personal favorites are Atticus, Jude, and Scarlett), but, I don't know, I feel sort of good knowing the one we're going with didn't make the list. Kind of feels like we got away with something. Hopefully it won't be on the 2013 either.
