New Mom Secret: I Have Sex With My Baby in Bed

It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets (PM me)—we'll never tell.

This Week's Secret:

We are co-sleepers and we just got the all-clear to have sex. My daughter is now 8 weeks old, and the couple times we've done it have been in the bed while she sleeps. We put a pillow between us and her, but still. It kind of made me uncomfortable even though I know she isn't aware or anything. Is that bad? -- Anonymous

This is really the kind of thing that is only bad if you think it's bad. I don't think you can traumatize an 8-week-old who is fast asleep. But if it makes you feel bad, then go to another room. There is no law that says you have to stay in the bed the whole time.

This is all about your comfort. Sex isn't going to be good if you feel bad about it anyway.

Do you have any advice for this mom?
