It's World Breastfeeding Week and I'm going to celebrate by applauding all moms who have nursed their children and also all moms who wanted to nurse but circumstances didn't allow them to and the moms who donated milk so other babies can thrive and all moms who sought donor milk for their babies. Breastfeeding sometimes does take a village -- support for breastfeeding moms is more important than some may realize.
I am incredibly grateful for the advice I got, especially in the early days of breastfeeding my twins. The books and articles I read, the friends that supported me, my husband -- all proved to be key in what kept me going. That and of course my desire to nurse my children to give them the very best.
So in order to help all moms, I've compiled some of the best articles on breastfeeding to support you in the earliest days, months, and into toddlerhood.

Happy World Breastfeeding Week!
Happy World Breastfeeding Week to everyone!
Fantastic!
I think my biggest challenge right now is that I am just SO TIRED of breastfeeding. I want to be done, . . . but I don't. I think my 2 1/2 year old has weaned, she hasn't nursed in 4 days and it was 5 days before that, but my 1 1/2 is still nursing (obviously). And I am pregnant - so I will be nursing again in January - constantly. I probably won't mind so much when it is a newborn again, but the older ones are a little tougher on the breasts. :)
@micheledo... wow, you just took the words right out of my mouth! I love nursing my baby but having a toddler climbing all over me with my nipple in his mouth... craziness. I miss the quiet nursing moments.
right now my biggest challenge is my 10.5mo's teeth! She has 8 and they are painful!! I'll live though. :)
