This nursery created by Laura has such a comfortable feel -- it's almost as if it's a room I've visited before. I'm thinking it could be because of the classic blue and red color scheme. Or maybe the use of vintage objects to decorate the space.
Whatever it is, it's the exact vibe I want to give people when they first enter a room. See more details from this nursery below.

Can you believe what a difference artwork makes? The cute whale decal from Little Lion Studio adds such character!

Great styling is a huge part of what makes this room work. Laura thoughtfully chose toys and vintage containers to complete these shelves. I love the little abacus and the seafoam canisters.

Colorful children's toys double as room decoration when they're not in use. I think that's what makes classic wooden toys so irresistible to parents -- they make a room look charming, even when they're part of the mess. : )

Details like the curtain made from two contrasting fabrics make this room feel real and not too formally decorated.

The bare oversize lightbulb hanging from the ceiling is a perfect finishing accent.
What do you think? Just the right sort of homey-ness? What are your tricks for making a space feel comfortable?

I don't really like it, but I like rooms more bare. I don't like a lot of extra stuff. Yes, my son's room has decorations: shelfs, a wall decal, pictures, ect, but I don't like a ton of stuff to move around. As far as the first comment goes about the crib bumpers, why not? My son would clunk his head to a concussion if it weren't for those things! He didn't have them when he was too young to move his head, but now he can sit up and everything, so he won't smother in them. They're thin enough to be safe from smothering him and thick enough to keep his head protected.
This is horrid it looks like a baby prison rather then a babys room. BRIGHT colors stimulate babys brain and helps their eyes adjust and focus, luckily my brother is a artist and he painted my daughters room like a forest seen: green, blue, purple, whit all the colors .,,, it's breath taking. I'ts colorful yet cam.
I don't think it's awful! I think it's cute:)
