Joni of Lay Baby Lay put together a beautiful nursery for her baby, Vivien Charles Lay (such a great name!). I think this nursery is one my personal favorites among those I've posted here. Really, really lovely.
I originally saw a peek of this room on Little Lovely and immediately reached out to Joni to say: more photos please. She generously shared and now we all get to see some up close shots of the fabulous details.
I'm especially digging the color scheme here. The color on the walls hits that perfect note between aqua and mint. Also. Make sure to notice the charming birdcage card holder.
The subtle, modern print on the crib bedding is lovely. It fits in so nicely that you almost don't even notice it. I love design like that. The pretty paper bunting was a DIY project.
I hadn't seen this hand knit mobile by Blabla Kids before and now I'm dying over the sweetness.
Such a great mix of modern lines and antiques curves. I love what the chevron rug does for the space.
The way Joni has introduced the color black into the room is smart and impressive to me.
There are sweet personal touches throughout the room that prevent it from feeling like it was plucked out of a catalog. Vintage snapshots and little quotes with personal meaning. Love that.
Here's baby Vivi herself -- the tiny irresistable pink bundle in the middle of the crib. Of course, she's all grown up now. : )

Very classy looking. Also, the rude posts on here are from jealous , most likely low income moms, who cannot hold down their own careers. What a bunch of losers on here.
I love how anyone who doesn't jump on the Fawn all over this bandwagon is a "Jealous" "dumbass", "low income" "loser" Yep that is the epitome of "class" pretty houses don't make pretty people. Oopsan exchange of ideas with vapid wannabes is a waste of time. Yes it is a lovely room room. Is it something I would select for a nursery..no. Am I an educated women of means? Yes. Do I have a secure career? Yes. Am I jealous? That someone still is at nursery decorating stage of life? perhaps. Do I feel the need to snipe and call take cheap shots and call people dumbass or loser? That speaks volumes of your own security and perhaps intelligence.
I love this look. It is close to what I went for with my own babies. I had a soothing scheme of green and yellow with plenty of neutral pieces. Black and white is good for babies. If I had the money I would do something like this. Unfortunately as my girls got older it was all pink Target, but when I could choose it was sunny and relaxing and light.

I guess it never occurred to anyone that the name "Charles" is maiden name/family name? That's the first thing I thought. Like, "Harriet Beecher Stowe" or "Hillary Rodham Clinton". It does occur to me that most of the people who dislike the room so intensely for a baby are exactly the ones with matchy matchy box store decor going on, and beat their poor kids to death in pink or blue at every turn just in case anyone missed the other gender clues.
It's beautiful. Anyone who thinks different sucks.

I love the photo wall! Are those photos of the mom and dad? I think that's a great idea! The baby can see every day that she was made between two people who love her! The nursery isn't my taste, but it's very pretty. For everyone talking down on the parents, hush up. They are excited, expecting parents and this is a very happy time for them!!!!!! They can name their baby whatever they want, and I'm sure they understand choking hazards, and will take the appropriate things down when baby comes!
