8 year old delivers baby brother
Not Actual Baby Delivered by Brother
One 8-year-old boy in Oklahoma just learned a lot more from his living room than his last year in biology class. Demarray Love helped his mother deliver his little brother when she went into labor at 2 a.m. And if you watch the video, you can see that the 8-year-old still looks shell-shocked at what he just went through.

Demarray would only say he helped to get towels "and stuff," so the extent of his involvement is not intimately known. But a typical 8-year-old boy most likely does not relish the idea of helping his own mother give birth. Hell, a typical man would get squeamish if it was his own mother giving birth, right?

But the other part of this story that is amazing is why Demarray even had to help his mom as she gave birth.

Kimberly Tennyson gave birth in 15 minutes. Fifteen minutes! She said she woke up in the middle of the night with contractions, called her grandmother, then bam! While Grandma walked her through the super fast birth on the phone, her son was the only person in the room when the baby (who looks perfect, by the way) arrived.

I'm guessing big brother was relieved when his newest family member and mom were taken to the hospital. And while Demarray is incredibly brave, I'm sure there are one million other things he'd rather have been doing that fateful morning. For example:

  • Riding bikes to the railroad tracks
  • Seeing how far his boogers could fly across the room
  • Studying for that test in that class he really hates
  • Eating pizza and pop rocks
  • ANYTHING

But Demarray hung tough, and now he has an adorable new baby brother that he can always have a special bond with, as well as gaining leverage for future groundings. Good going, kid!
