It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets (PM me)—we'll never tell.
This Week's Secret:
I used to be a complete picture hound when I was younger, but when I got older and got pregnant (and ugly), I stopped wanting photos of myself. And I got out of practice. My baby is now 5 months old and I have six photos of him. My camera is broken and we never bothered to get it fixed. We have taken one photo each month. How much am I going to regret this? -- Anonymous
Question: Have you ever postponed cleaning a mess until morning?

I am sorry to say you will regret this. Get a new camera as soon as you can.
We have no less than 6,000 photos (seriously) of my daughter's first year and I still wish we had more, especially video.
Right now, while you're in the thick of it, it doesn't matter, but you will forget this time so quickly (believe me), and you will want photographic evidence of it. Buy a camera now. You will not regret it. As for the photos lost, ask around. I'm sure other people have taken photos of your baby.
You don't need 6,000. But I'm sure you will want more than 12 of his first year.
Do you have any advice for this mom?
