I've got a fabulous nursery tour for you. Say hello to Sebastian's room. Sebastian is one lucky kid -- the adults in his life run a chic baby planner and concierge service that helps expecting parents prepare for the arrival of their little one. It's called Sissy+Marley. And using the fabulous resources at their fingertips, Rachel, Diana and Chelsea created a lovely little oasis for Mr. Sebastian.
There's nothing like a nesting mama to come up with a perfect baby space, right? Keep reading for more pics and all the best sources.

I love this view as you head into the nursery. And I love that Sissy+Marley are not afraid to use white with babies. The dark floors look so warm and sophisticated.

An up-close shot. The huge wall map is from IKEA. The clever deer head is by Tamar Mogendorff. The animal artwork is actually pages from Andrew Zuckerman's book.

The rail of artwork is calming, don't you think? Dresser is by Netto. Vola Glider from Monte. Pom-pom Blanket at Remodelista (love this so much!). The cowhide rug is from West Elm.

The gorgeous mirror is from Serena & Lily. The crib is by Netto. The bookshelves are IKEA. The polo boxes on the shelves are here.
A big thank you to Sebastian for sharing his space with us!
Too minimalist for your taste? Too much white? Or is this right up your alley?

I tried this. Big mistake. For my baby daughter, I had lovely periwinkle walls and a white crib with white bedding; white eyelet bumper and beautiful white lace trimmed blankets. She had antique furniture and white upholstery.....white plantation blinds and some nice artwork that she was too small to see, You know what happened? She lay there and stared. At nothing. She looked at her hands; her gown; anything to give her mind something to do. I took all that white out and put a calico floral bumper; butterfly sheets; beautiful colorful art; and an attached music box that she could push and hear. Nothing matched---but she totally came alive! Every day she woke up cooing and pointing at the different things that had been added to her life. Never assume infants don't notice their surroundings. It's EVERYTHING to them. Moms, it's not YOUR nursery. Don't be selfish enough to put decor you can brag about above comfort for your baby.
You know what? I don't understand this whole barfing, spit up, diarrhea talk. I think the room looks great. My 18 month old son's room is somewhat similar, except I have gray walls (with splashes of color throughout the room). But very minimalist with a few vintage finds.
He's a baby, not a lawn sprinkler. I haven't had one problem with him spraying feces all over the place. We also don't eat in there. I guess where there is a will, there's a way.
Why so much hate on this article? She's simply showing an alternative to the monkeys-playing-sports-in-the-jungle theme that you can buy at Babies R Us. I guess if I had that in my room, I'd want to deficate on it, too.
I LOVE IT!
