Elton John Baby Lives Where?

Elton JohnOh Elton John, we love him for his flamboyance and over-the-top personality, but when it comes to parenting, it may be time to reign things in just tiny a bit. While news that he and his partner David Furnish welcomed a new baby boy into their family on Christmas Day was a fantastic surprise, news of where the little prince is living is a bit concerning.

See, little Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John has not only a big name, but some really big digs too. He resides not just in a pimped out nursery like any other celebrity baby, or even in his own wing of the home. No, he has his own actual apartment next door to the one in which John and Furnish reside -- and a $2 million apartment at that, according to the The Mail.

What, too much?

Uh yeah. It's not quite pimped out fully yet by the top interior designers, but the couple wasted no time moving the baby right in while decorating continues. Not only that, it's actually staffed by nannies who are there 24/7.

"Everyone originally thought they bought the smaller apartment because they wanted extra space, but then I found out they were trying to have a baby," a friend told the paper. "They haven’t said whether they have knocked the wall down between the two apartments but I must say at Elton’s age, I wouldn’t blame him if there is no adjoining door. Will he really want to be woken up at night by a screaming baby? From what I understand the baby and his nannies are living in one apartment and Elton and David are living in another."

So, let's see, Sir Elton wants someone else to take care of the kid, and doesn't want to be disturbed by even living under the same roof as him, so he had a child why exactly?

I know this baby will have all the advantages in the world with Sir Elton's mega millions of dollars, and I'm sure they'll be loving parents. But at their ages -- John is 62, and Furnish is 48 -- it seems they're going to have to be a little less stuck in their ways and willing to do a more hands-on parenting job or really run the risk of missing out on what raising children is all about.

What do you think of Elton John's baby living in his own apartment? If you had the means, would you give your baby his own apartment and around-the-clock nannies?
