Just in time for Thanksgiving, John Travolta and Kelly Preston welcomed their baby boy to the world Tuesday evening.
Benjamin arrived weighing 8 pounds, 3 ounces at a hospital in Florida, and the family is said to be doing well.
"John, Kelly, and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family," a rep for the couple told RadarOnline.com. "Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully."
But whether it was Preston who actually delivered the baby is the question many are asking. Her whole pregnancy -- or lack thereof -- has been the source of many rumors and much speculation.
The rep's statement is pretty vague and doesn't mention Preston actually giving birth, which doesn't do much to squash rumors for those who are looking for any signs of some pregnancy conspiracy theory.
But that could be for any number of reasons, and it's doubtful the couple would go to such great lengths to fake a pregnancy.
At Preston's age, 47, it is unlikely that she became pregnant on her own -- unlikely, but not impossible -- so the use of fertility assistance may be more accurate.
But really, whether they used IVF or a surrogate, it doesn't matter now because they have a healthy baby in their arms.
Talk about having something to be thankful for. This family has been through so much.
It's been almost two years now since they lost their son Jett. He died in January 2009 after suffering a seizure while at their vacation home on Grand Bahama island.
It's hard to imagine how anyone can go on after losing a child, but so many families do.
For them the holidays can be especially difficult as they mourn and miss someone they brought into the world with an endless love whose life ended way too early.
But their memories and the strength of the families to go on and to continue to embrace life -- like John Travolta and Kelly Preston -- inspire the rest of us and remind us to be thankful for every second we have with our children -- no matter how they came into our lives.
Congratulations and best Thanksgiving wishes to them. Can't wait to see pictures of the little guy!
Do you think Kelly Preston gave birth to their new baby? Does it matter if she did or didn't?

I hadn't heard anything about this. And I don't think it matters. As long as they didn't steal or buy the baby...then I really don't care :)
i agree with billsfan1104, i does seem like they had this baby to replace jett, either way i am happy for them
I very happy for them and I agree with poshkat and proudsingle mom i don't think they had this baby to replace there son because no one can place there son.
I don't understand why people don't think she actually gave birth? This seems like a cruel and senseless, baseless rumor. She was obviously carrying a child. I think the Travoltas are an exceptional family, especially in the pond scum known as Hollywood. I am so happy for them, especially since they suffered such a tragic loss. And FYI, some women DO get pregnant all by their darn selves, at age 47.... not everybody in the universe uses a surrogate or IVF, because not everybody has to. If they went the all natural and normal way and ended up with a healthy baby, more power to em. God bless them..
RebeccaMuir, I couldn't have said it better. I had a daughter who died. The two children I have had since her birth and death did not and cannot replace her but they do fill a void that was in my heart after her death. So, this family may have wanted ANOTHER child to fill a void but not to replace their deceased son. That's a crazy idea. Would it have been better for them to honor his memory by mourning forever? I think not.
Reguardless of their reasons for adding to their family, or how they went about doing so, I am happy for them and glad they have a healthy baby. If she DID fake a pregnancy, IDK why. Again, it doesn't matter HOW they had the baby so I wonder why she WOULD fake it.
If they are happy, does it really matter if she gave birth or had a surrogate? I dont understand why everyone always tries to find a negative angle on everything.
And also the petty crap about her 'replacing' her child- how could one mother say such a thing about another? Do you not have a compassionate or empathetic bone in your body? She lost a child, how could you think she'd replace him??? Mothers and women above all should know there is no replacing a child. So shame on these people saying that. Seriously.
