It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets (PM me)—we'll never tell.
This Week's Secret:
My baby is only 6 months old, but I'm really into Halloween. Actually, I'm really into candy. I'm going to dress my baby up and take her trick-or-treating. I know she can't eat the candy so I'm planning to eat it. I feel kind of bad, though. Am I just using her for candy? -- Anonymous
Ha! This is fantastic. I did the same thing. With both of my kids. And I would do the same if I had a third.
Isn't the whole point of Halloween for children to enjoy themselves? And yes, that includes babies.
I will admit that I got a few strange looks and some comments, too, but the photos from the night are classic and adorable. And I figured if we took the time to dress up the baby, then we deserved the candy!
Seriously, there is nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy the holiday with your baby. And the candy is fine for adults, too.
Do you agree? Do you have any thoughts for this mom?
