Bethenny Frankel: A Know-It-All Mom?

bethenny frankel and BrynI love Bethenny Frankel as much as the next Housewives-obsessed housewife. I still get a little teary when I think of the episode of Bethenny Getting Married when she brings baby Bryn home (sniff!). But lately, she's made some comments that leave her sounding a little bit like a know-it-all.

For example, she says she doesn't take parenting advice.

"The truth is I didn't listen to that much advice while I was pregnant or after because everyone has an opinion and you want to experience it on your own," she told

I get that to some degree. Sure, you get tons of unwanted, not-so-helpful from advice from plenty of people from the minute you announce your pregnancy until ... well, I'm not sure when because it's still coming.

But some of the best tips, tricks, and saving graces I have I've gotten through the advice of friends and families and even complete strangers. So I hate to hear her completely dismiss advice from others who have been there and done that.

But even if she doesn't take mothering advice, she has plenty to give.

Her first recommendation is the oldest one in the book, which virtually no one I've ever known has been able to follow with any regularity.

"Sleep while the baby's sleeping! Sleep is way more important than exercise, that’s all you need to be worried about right now," she told the magazine.

She also gave a plug for her "Brest Friend," which she uses to help with breastfeeding.

"It's beyond. My neck hurts because I forgot it and I haven’t used it in the past couple of days, but basically it’s like a tube around you or a shelf that the baby sits in when they're breastfeeding and even if you’re not breastfeeding it’s a good shelf to burp the baby. It literally has a place to put the remote on it, the breast pump ... it's awesome!"

Do I smell an endorsement deal?

During her recent appearance on Chelsea Lately, she also came off as a little bit arrogant about her amazing post-baby weight loss and slammed Kate Hudson for "not eating in 10 years." Maybe I'm just crabby; check out the video and see what you think.

Do you appreciate baby advice from others? What do you think of Bethenny Frankel dismissing it?
