Check out this video of what could happen if you don't mind your p's and q's and f-bombs around your baby.
Funny, right? Might hit a little close to home? Something you might forward to a family member or friend with a little wink or nudge? Something you might tweet or post or on your Facebook page?
That's exactly what Evenflo and other companies are hoping -- that by using inside parenting jokes and humor they'll prove they get parents and the needs of their families. And, of course, that parents will then spread that message like viral wildire for them.
I have to say, if I was in the market for a car seat, I would probably check this one out. Actually, after viewing the commercial, I did check it out to see how it compares to the Britax model I bought several months back.
So I definitely see the potential, especially for parents of babies who have so many decisions to make about products.
Evenflo isn't first to this online promotional party. Toyata's Swagger Wagon video that makes fun of the minivan stigma has more than 4 million views on YouTube as this goes to print.
The Evenflo commercial current has less than 600 views as of now. It will be interesting to see how it fares in coming weeks, and how parents respond over the long haul to such commercials.
Do creative online campaigns like this make you more likely to buy specific baby gear?
