My baby boy started walking a couple months ago, and now we have a drawer full of shoes just for him. This makes me irrationally happy, since shoes top my list of things I love to shop for, both for myself and for my son.
But baby shoes should be bargain purchases since kids grow far too quickly to wear anything for long.
(Hey, they grow far too quickly period, am I right?)
Here are a handful of baby sandals that are simply perfect for summer, and not a single pair is over $15. These purchases are great for moms like me, who love buying shoes but want those pairs to be as reasonably priced as possible.
These floral embroidered espadrilles (on sale for $6.47) from Old Navy are almost unbearably cute. Come to think of it, I'd actually like a pair for myself.
I actually bought these Reef sandals from Journeys Kidz for my son (seen in the top picture on my boy) since he needed a great pair of sandals to wear to our neighborhood splash pad, and they were on sale (and still are!) for $9.99. One huge selling point for me: They don't become slippery when wet. (More sizes are available at other sites, like Zappos, for a little extra money.)
I love these pink Adidas perfect-for-summer sandals ($12.99) from Piperlime. Throw them on for the pool, the park, or just stomping around in the backyard.
You can't beat the price on these fun baby flip-flops (on sale for $2.99 to $4.99) from GAP. They come in a variety of colors, too, so you could buy the perfect pair (like the cool camo ones pictured below) or you could buy one of each if you're feeling crazy (and I'm usually feeling crazy).
If your baby isn't too keen on wearing a flip-flop style (something between their cute toes), how about these fisherman sandals ($8.49) from Children's Place for your boys (in blue or brown) and the gladiator sandal ($6.47) for girls (in white or pink)?
All these summer sandals are adorable and affordable. A winning combo.
Which do you have to have for your baby this summer?
