Kim Kardashian apparently has a problem with public breastfeeding.
"EWW Im at lunch,the woman at the table next 2 me is breast feeding her baby w no coverup," she Twittered Friday.
You'd think with a new nephew she'd be a little more sympathetic to a woman's breastfeeding plight, but clearly not. She's just like the majority of Americans who also seem to have a problem with it.
Perhaps she should check this Guide On How to Deal With the Sight of a Baby Eating we published recently on The Stir.
She did try to smooth things over with another tweet this morning stating:
"My sister breast feeds! Its a natural beautiful thing, there's nothing wrong w it, but she covers herself, not w her boobs exposed."
I do think it's only polite to try and cover oneself as best one can when breastfeeding, but for Kim -- who has posed for Playboy and exposes quite a bit of herself regularly in skimpy outfits and without -- to call a mother out for exposing herself? Well, I think there's a saying about a pot calling a kettle black or something, no?
She also complained that the woman "then puts baby on the table and changes her diaper."
I'm with her on that one. That's just gross and unsanitary.

I didnt BF but her ignorant comment really bothered me.
You all only posted part of the tweet to make it sound worse than what it is. Shame on you. I am not a big fan of Kim but I have to say that the tweet also talked about the woman CHANGING her child on the table in the middle of the restaurant as well as breastfeeding with NO cover leaving her breast exposed in a restaurant filled with people. I breastfed all 3 of my children and YES I would also have a problem with that women exposing herself in public and not covering up. My children don't need to see some lady's boob no matter what she is doing. Breastfeeding is a natural thing and I encourage mothers to do it but cover up please! Not to mention public indecency is illegal so where do the acceptions begin and end if we allow it? She never said she was against breastfeeding only the lady exposing herself and changing her baby on the table in the restaurant where people were eating.
Oh and yes she did pose in playboy difference is my children 8, 3, and 9 months do not have access to Playboy but we do go out and eat as a family in restaurants for family time. If you watch a Family movie (G rated) it doesn't contain boobs so why should our family dinner?

as for kim......sex tape, playboy...etc...all made for adults and only where adults can see them. Its not like it was aired on the Disney Channel or on visible for children, etc..., i have NO issues with breastfeeders... i work in Maternity around all post-partum moms...its encouraged, the baby needs to EAT too! however i have been at a public place and the baby pops off the nipple and there is a long nipple exposed, and there is was no attempt, in that case for the mom to cover up. Of course its natural, so is changing the baby.. it is a NECESSITY for the baby, doesn't mean i want to see your nipples at lunch ...just like i don't wanna see you change your baby on the table.Be descreet is the point. My children dont need to see some ladies NIPPLES....
I definitely agree with Kim on this one. I've breast fed both of my boys, and it's not difficult to put a wrap over yourself. Whether women want to admit it or not, breasts ARE sexual objects -- not only did mine feed my sons but my husband quite enjoys them as well. Had I been seated next to the woman in question, I would have certainly called her out on her display.
I'd rather see the breasts of a mother feeding her child than the Silicone Sallies of a Kardashian at the next table. Just sayin'.
Well, watching her strut around, its not playboy, and I can honestly say she shows more boobs than I do when I breastfeed in public, without a cover. No, I don't show any boob. I use an undershirt, which covers my stomach, and my shirt covers my breast completely-you can only see a momma holding her baby. In fact, I have had people say hey, your baby is so cute! Is he asleep? And I tell them he's eating-they are astonished I am breastfeeding. I have been told they had no idea. Really. It can be done.
I think its so stupid for anyone to care if someone is feeding their baby. I don't care how, as long as baby is fed. Even if some breast is exposed-as we all know, many women show more breast than your typical breastfeeding mother. After all, when was the last time you were in public and someone freaked out at a hot chick with her boobs hanging out and all that? Never? I see slutty dressed women all the time, and nobody notices. You see a momma feeding her baby, who shows less boob than the slutty dressed woman, and everyone gets uncomfortable. Geez, people-get over yourselves. Its a mom feeding her baby.

I think this is ridiculous. I completely understand what Kim was saying. I have no problem with public breastfeeding at all, but cover up! it is not that difficult! just because you are breastfeeding doesnt mean everyone wants to see it! And the sex tape??? Yeah that was something done and private and her ex released it!. As for playboy and what not isn't that still somewhere that if you dont want to see it you dont have to! It's not like she was in public next to you at your dinner table posing for playboy. Stop comparing those things to that. I hate when mothers think it is a god given right that they can breastfeed in public but not having the decency to cover up. It's called a nursing cover- use one. i have them and they are not hard to find! or even use a blanket! not everyone wants to see you breastfeed! You want respect, then give respect!
And as far as women dressed sluty with their nipples just about hanging out i think that is disrespectful too. My old co-workers girlfriend used to come out with her bra literally hanging out and her bra was too small and the line was like just BARELY covering up her nipples. i finally said something to her. Not everyone wants to see that either!
