Personalized puzzles and raising a mean kid. These (and more!) are the links I loved this week.

- My kiddo (pictured above; isn't he too cute?) is becoming interested in puzzles, although interested sometimes translates to "likes to toss puzzle pieces at his mama's face." But when he does (occasionally) sit and focus on the puzzle at hand, you practically see the wheels turning in his cute, little head. So, this fantastic, handmade puzzle from Pink and Green Mama inspired me, with taped family pictures under the pieces. I love, love, love it!
- No one wants to raise a mean kid! But how do you avoid it? I thought this was a nice reminder for parents from author Rosalind Wiseman (author of Queen Bees and Wannabes, the book that inspired the movie Mean Girls). Wiseman tells parents to remember that they count and their kids do care what they think. So, don't forget, even with your small kids!

- My son came down with croup the same week he was cutting his molars. Now, if that's not a recipe for a much-needed cocktail, I'm not sure what is. Reading this sweet post about how babies make your life better over at Lil Sugar was much-needed this week. Especially this line: "A single gummy smile can save even the biggest wreck of a day." So true!
- Doesn't Kai Schreiber (Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber's son) kind of look like Shiloh Jolie-Pitt? Regardless, he's pretty damn adorable. The cheeks! The blond hair! So cute.
