Amazon: $15.99When I first had my son, I lost track of time. Not in the oh, it all goes so fast! way but I literally couldn't remember the day, the last time I fed him, the last time either of us ate or slept or bathed.
Now that we are sleeping regularly, it's much easier to remember things but until then I bought a whiteboard calendar and started writing things down.
Every time he ate, I wrote the time on the board. Every time he woke in the middle of the night (too often), I blearily scribbled it on the board. (Oh, and as an aside: buy a clock for the nursery with really big numbers, so you can be sure of the time when it's the middle of the night.)
I kept the board hanging over his changing table, and even though it didn't quite match the rest of the room's decor, it made things so much easier for me. It was also easier than writing everything down in a notebook because I didn't have to keep track of where the whiteboard or a pen was.
Mainly, I didn't worry about remembering anything I didn't have to. I wrote it down and went back to doing more important things: like adoring my new baby.
